What's happening?
It's the opening
ceremony of the 2016 Rio Olympic games! Brace yourselves for a wonderful time.
When is it?
On Friday 5th
August. But really it's on Saturday 6 August, because of that pesky time
difference. Here, we'll explain
What time is it?
Where can I watch it?
Right here on the
Telegraph Sport website. Alan Tyers will be covering the event live and we'll
have a live stream too. It's also on big BBC: BBC One, if you're after a second
screen. Coverage starts at 23.40 and runs , slightly terrifyingly, until
04.00.
Well, that's quite
the question. It's kicking off at a civilised 20.00 local time, which means
midnight on Friday night / Saturday morning if you're following it from the
British Isles. We'd guess it'll take about four hours in total.
