Don’t sell assets, Iwuanyanwu tells FG

An elder statesman and politician, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, has urged the Federal Government to drop its intention to sell the country’s assets as a way of getting Nigeria out of
economic recession.
He said the sale would plunge the country into financial crisis.
Speaking to newsmen in Owerri, the Imo State capital, on Tuesday, Iwuanyanwu advised the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government to solve the problems that led to the recession instead of selling national assets.
He said “President Muhammadu Buhari should rather work assiduously in solving the problems that have led to our economic travails because we have sold our assets in the past yet we did not get the expected results in terms of economic advancement.”Punch
