Hoodlums fully armed have invaded unit 16, ward 8 in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, the home country of Chibuike Amaechi and hijacked electoral material.
The gunmen shot severally in the area causing tension and chasing voters before hijacking the material into the bush around, 2:00 when voting was supposed to be on.
Sir Celestine Omehia who had just voted at the unit and left before the incident worried that there were no soldiers at the units, although had commended the Independent National electoral commission for the security arrangements.
However, Mr. Chibuike Amaechi, the Minister of Transportation, has led a team of security personnel insearch of the hoodlums. Meanwhile voting is yet to commence in some unit in the area including that of Amaechi, unit 14.
