The Military Pensions Board (MPB) says it will continue the distribution of the new Combo ID Cards to pensioners in other states of the federation, from Monday,
February 27 to Friday March, 3.
A statement issued in Abuja on Monday by the spokesman of the board, Sqn. Ldr. Ikenna Ezendu said only pensioners whose last verification centres are in Borno, Cross River, Ekiti, Katsina, Lagos, Osun, Yobe and Zamfara States, would be issued the new Combo ID Cards.
According to the statement, the collection centre for pensioners in Borno State is the 212 Battalion Maimalari Barracks, Maiduguri while those in Cross River will get theirs at the HQ 13 Brigade Eburutu Barracks, Calabar.
For Ekiti State, the collection centre is the Mobile Police Ground, Ado Ekiti while pensioners in Katsina State are to proceed to the 35 Battalion Natsinta Army Barracks Katsina and their counterparts in Lagos will collect their cards at the HQ 9 Brigade Ikeja Cantonment.
The statement indicates that pensioners in Osun state will collect their Combo ID Cards from the ECR Army Barracks, Ede while those in Yobe are to proceed to the 241 Recce Battalion Nguru, and the Governor’s Office Complex and pensioners in Zamfara are to get theirs from the 1 BAD Army Barracks, Gusau.
The statement urged all eligible military pensioners in above mentioned states to check MPB website www.mpb.ng to confirm whether the readiness of their cards for collection.
“Pensioners are to come along with their last verification print out and other relevant documents for clearance before collection as arrangements are ongoing to extend the distribution of the ID cards to other states,’’ the statement added.
It will be recalled that the board recently distributed the new Combo ID Cards to pensioners in 8 states in its bid to distribute the new Identity cards to pensioners across the country.
