Pacers’ Al Jefferson Sprains Ankle

Indiana Pacers 107-94 win over Philadelphia 76ers left them with center, Al Jefferson sustaining an ankle sprain.

The injury will see the big man sidelined for a number of days. He had 14 points and seven rebounds, before he landed awkwardly on another player’s foot as he caught a fourth quarter rebound.

Jefferson looked to be in pain after rolling his ankle and had to be taken off the court with a wheelchair, but x-ray revealed he just had a sprain.

“Anybody who’s rolled their ankle like that knows the pain, the throbbing pain,” Jefferson told Fox Sports Indiana after the game. “It’s just an ankle sprain, and I just have to get through it.

“This is about my 600th ankle sprain. I’ve got to get through it and get back on the court as quick as I can.”
