It is the
devil that is attacking the Church or men who are supposed to live above board
are just allowing themselves to fall into mess? Whatever it is, there's need
for change.
Operatives of Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos Police Command, have arrested a 47-year-old man, Pastor Ikemefuna Aje, who allegedly stole during a seminar organised for internet brand managers at a hotel in GRA, Ikeja, Lagos.
The Pastor, dressed corporately, was caught on CCTV committing the crime.
According to
police, Ikemefuna stole 5 MacBooks, one HP computer and some assorted personal
effects, which he immediately took down to Computer Village in Lagos, and sold
to one Saliu Ibraheem for N1,110,000. The buyer has been his friend for about 7
years.
When asked how he got to know about the seminar which wasn't advertized on national dailies or in any media house, Pastor Ikemefuna disclosed that he had people who furnish him with information on conferences and seminars. He further said that the seminar was one of the many others where he had gate crashed.
He allegedly
stole the gadgets when the seminar's participants were having lunch in the
hotel, and he was traced to No.5 Tony Street, Ejigbo, Lagos where he
was hosting about 34 other church members in a house-fellowship.
After his
arrest, Pastor Ikemefuna led the security operatives to his house,
where a 4Runner Toyota, a master key, Zinox laptop, several computer bags,
computer and tablet accessories as well as seminar materials and a sum of
N700,000, were recovered.
