Kano State
governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, on Thursday slammed "someone" who he
claimed is busy scheming for President Buhari’s seat.
It is not
confirmed who he was referring to, however, Daily Nigerian said the shot was
directed at his predecessor, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso.
Addressing a
pro-Buhari rally in Kano, Ganduje said some people were wishing death on the
president in order to succeed him in 2019.
“Some people
have been praying against Buhari’s return. The saddest part of it was that
while they prayed against Buhari’s return, someone is busy opening campaign
offices across the country, scheming for Buhari’s seat. This is calamity. This
is disaster. This is hypocrisy. This is stupidity." he said.
The governor
also raised alarm that there are saboteurs in the ruling APC.
“In APC,
there are some bad eggs that are sabotaging President Buhari. Let me assure
them that they could not get at the president’s Achilles’ heel and the party
would soon expel them,” he said.
