THE Movement
for The Actualization of The Sovereign State Of Biafra, MASSOB, has said that
the late former Vice President of Nigeria, Dr Alex Ekwueme will remain
unforgettable in the minds of its members and other the Biafra activists.
MASSOB in
statement by its leader, Comrade Uchenna Madu, and signed by its National
Director of Information, Edeson Samuel
said Ekwueme was a legend Nigeria refused to celebrate inspite of his
contributions to the development of the country. “No doubt, the Nigeria Dr Alex
Ekwueme served as Vice President may have forgotten him, the PDP which he was
the founding father and leader may have abandoned him, but Ndigbo and MASSOB
will continue to remember him.” According to MASSOB, “Igbos have lost a leader
who in spite his great contributions to the development of Nigeria was not
celebrated by Nigeria he laid the greater part of his life to serve.” Ndigbo
have lost a legend Nigeria refused celebrate because he was an Igbo man, Ndigbo
have lost a great hero in the death of Dr Alex Ekwueme, a founding father of
Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, man who advocated for the creation of South
South region for political emancipation of our brothers across the Niger.
“Nigeria may miss you, but Biafrans will miss you more. It is a pity that until
his death the Peoples Democratic Party which he was a founding father through
G34, served with dedication and humility, for 16 years of their civil rule
failed to appreciate and honor him because he is an Igbo man.”
