The national
leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced August 22,
2016 as the date of its governorship primary election in Ondo State.
Senator Abdul
Ningia, who is also a member of the National Caretaker Committee for
Organization & Mobilization of the party, made the announcement on
Wednesday in a press statement.
Mr. Ningia said the
announcement was in compliance with the stipulations of the Electoral Act of
2010 (as amended) and by the Independent National Electoral Commission's (INEC)
Timetable and Guidelines of the PDP.
He said in the
statement, “The following is the timetable of activities for conducting the
Governorship Primary in Ondo State as approved by the National Caretaker
Committee:
1. Sale of Aspirants' Nomination Forms; Venue: 13, Thaba-Tseka Street, British Village, Wuse II, Abuja. Friday, 22 July - Mon. 8 August 2016
2. Last day for
submission of completed forms
