Chelsea boss
Antonio Conte has warned Diego Costa to reduce the number of yellow cards or he
could end up costing the team some valuable points this season.
The Blues
striker who has scored two goals so far in two games has been cautioned by his
coach for his lack of indiscipline.
Conte said:
“Diego must be focused on the game. I don’t want him to focus on other players,
other managers or the press or people that talk badly about him.
“He must just
stay very focused on the game because, for me, the game and the performance is
the most important thing. The other things are only blah, blah, blah.
“He is an
important player and he can score a lot of goals. So I want him to keep himself
in the game, not to think of other situations.
“It’s not good
for me, it’s not good for him and it’s not good for Chelsea or the fans. Also I
think it is not good for the English league.”
At the match
against Watford, Diego Costa was accused of diving and was also blasted for
taking out West Ham goalie, Adrian the match before that.
