David
Silva insists Manchester City are not the new Barcelona.
Pep
Guardiola's City are being compared to the Catalan's former club because of
their
free-flowing, attacking football.
The
Blues are top of the Premier League, having won their first five games in all
competitions under Guardiola, scoring 15 goals.
But
Silva shied away from comparing City to Barca and the Spanish playmaker insists
they have their own identity.
"We
have our own style," said Silva. "We have good players who like to
have the ball, and we also have fast players so we can play on the counter.
I
think we're improving every day and that's good for the team."
Silva
is excited about City's play under Guardiola and says all the players want to
build on their fine start.
"I'm
very happy," he said. "I'm fine. I feel good. The team is improving
every game and we're showing that on the pitch.
"We
created a lot of goalscoring opportunities against West Ham and we hope to keep
improving."
