Fans in Lagos have
been disappointed yet again by Davido who is currently at the center of a
dispute with organizers of the recently concluded Festival Of India, Lagos.
Reports have it that the 23 year old celebrity was billed to perform at the
show where he was paid over #7 million.
The Chief organizer of the show, Bolaji
Rosiji had earlier confirmed that the singer was paid and was sure that the
singer would make it to the show, however, DMW crooner called in a day before
the show stating that he would be unavoidably absent.
Davido’s lawyers where
also contacted so as to refund what had been earlier paid to him for the show
but a refund has not been made up till this time.
The show was
colorful as high profiled celebrities were in attendance, the likes of Desmond
Elliot who is now a policy maker, Tina Mba, Saheed Balogun, PMAN’s president
Tee Mac alongside Ara and Pasuma. Efforts to get to Davido’s team for their own
side of the story has proven abortive so far.
The show was scheduled for
Saturday 13th, August at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.
