Manchester
United defender Marcos Rojo is reportedly on his way to Valencia for a £10.2
million transfer fee
The
Argentina International has been left out of both of the Red Devils’ Premier
League games so far this season with Luke Shaw being preferred to start with
Antonio Valencia, Eric Bailly and Daley Blind at the Back for United.
Valencia are
reportedly looking at Rojo as a replacement for German defender, Shkodran
Mustafi who is set to join Arsenal for £35 million.
Marcos Rojo
joined Manchester United two years ago but has seen his playing time at the Old
Trafford limited due to constant injuries and poor performances; he made 53
appearances in all competitions under former United manager, Loius Van Gaal.
Jose Mourinho
is said to keen on getting naturally disposed defenders as he tried to convince
Southampton defender, Jose Fonte to the Old Trafford, although the 32-year old
rejected the Portuguese latest attempt to lure him to the club with a bumper
wage bill with reports of him renewing his contract at the Saint Mary. Another
stumbling block appears to be United Vice-chairman, Ed Woodward’s unwillingness
to sign another player without clearing deadwood off the payroll.
