Rihanna
headed to her VMAs rehearsal in a lace-up top and baggy pants after Drake's
touching gesture to congratulate her.
The 28-year-old superstar ,
who will receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the MTV Video
Music Awards tonight, was dressed in her usual edgy garms ahead of her
performance in Madison Square Garden in New York.
Dressed in a
lace-up black top, baggy grey pants and matching chunky trainers, she appeared
to wave at paps while carrying a black and white designer bag over her shoudler.
She
accessorised with a black hat and shades and carried a refreshing Starbucks
drink ahead of rehearsals for the show in the Big Apple.

RiRi, whose
rumoured beau bought her a huge sign emblazoned with the words 'Congratulations
to Rihanna from Drake and everyone at OVO', was touched by his thoughtful gift.
A source
told HollywoodLife.com :
"That's the sweetest thing any man's ever done for Ri. She's still in
shock and has been being all giddy about it since it's gone up.
"It's
really hard for Rihanna to shake Drake, especially when he goes out of his way
to do something so sweet and on the highest magnitude possible. His
congratulatory Billboard is epic and one for the ages.
"She
certainly appreciates the gesture and once this weekend cools off she's going
to personally thank Drake and talk to him about what they want to do now that
she believes he's interested in her and wants more."
Rihanna
couldn't hide her delight when she shared a picture of her billboard on
Instagram and captioned it: "When he extra" alongside an emoji of a
trophy.
The cute
gesture has set tongues wagging that the pair - who used to be an item - are
secretly dating again and there's no doubt that they're still extremely close,
given Drake's recent display of affection.
What's more,
they've collaborated on a number of love tracks and outrageously flirted on
stage throughout Rihanna's Anti World Tour.
Can they
just get married already?
