Manchester City
youngster Bersant Celina is set to start in Kosovo’s first ever competitive
game against Finland on Monday.
The FC Twente loanee
has already earned three caps for the Dardanians after FIFA gave the green
light to take part in friendly matches in March 2014.
Kosovo's full
membership to FIFA was ratified earlier this year and Monday will signify their
first ever World Cup qualifier.
The road to Russia
2018 is a tough one though after the minnows were drawn in the same group as
Croatia, Iceland, Ukraine, Turkey and Finland.
Celina made his
Premier League debut for City last season as a substitute in the 3-1 home
defeat to Leicester City.
An assist for Sergio
Aguero's goal led to Manuel Pellegrini handing the 19-year-old his first start
in The FA Cup against Chelsea.
Late last month, the
former Norway under-21 international was sent on a season-long loan to
Eredivisie side Twente.
