second behind China’s Hu Dandan in the women’s 45 kg Powerlifting event after
lifting 106 kg behind the Chinese woman

Hu set a new
world and also a paralympic record with her 107 kg lift. Suffolk powerlifter
Zoe Newson took the bronze medal.
It’s a good
start for Team Nigeria and surely this is the first of many at the games.
