Barcelona will sign on-loan defender Marlon Santos permanently before the
end of the year, according to Sport.
The Brazilian joined Barca on loan from Fluminense earlier this year and
he is currently turning out for the club’s reserve side Barcelona B on a
regular basis.
Barcelona are now planning to activate their option to sign him
permanently before the end of 2016.
According to Sport, if Barcelona activate that option before the
21-year-old has made five official first-team outings, they will not have to
make an additional payment of €2m.
The Brazilian is not unknown to Luis Enrique. He impressed in preseason
and was again good in Tuesday’s Catalan Super Cup game against Espanyol,
despite the defeat.
