Everon target Rachid Ghezzal is close to signing a new three-year deal with
Lyon, according to French newspaper L’Equipe.
It was
reported in the summer that the Toffees offered him a €400,000 per month
(£348,700) salary but he turned it down to stay at his boyhood club, where he
scored his first goal of the season over the weekend during a 2-0 win over
Saint Etienne.

French sports daily L’Equipe, Ghezzal is close to signing a new three-year
deal, to keep him at the club and end any speculation he may be leaving in the
winter window, when Everton could have rekindled their interest.
Les Gones now
sit in fifth spot in the French top flight, with 13 points from their opening
eight games.
Next up for
Lyon after the international break is a trip to play Nice.
