Leonardo Jardim has praised Falcao’s impact in the 3-0 win over CSKA
Moscow, as his brace sees them draw closer to the knockout stages.
The 30-year-old scored his brace in the first half, sealing an emphatic
win for Monaco. However, Jardim believes he can do more for the club.
Falcao’s brace were his first goals in the UCL since February 2010, having
gone on long injury absences and enduring unsuccessful loan spells at Chelsea
and Manchester United.
After the match, Jardim urged the Colombian striker to stay fit and
keep finding the back of the net.
“The important thing is that the club, me and the team believe in him,”
he told L’Equipe.
“He had a very good game for 60 minutes. That’s Falcao, with lots of
good combinations in the game.
“Now he has to get consistency and string together matches.”
