A vigilante
group in Igbogene Vigilance Committee in Yenagoa Local Government Area of the
state recently arrested a father of two for stealing a pot of soup, 12 wraps of
fufu and a half basin of garri flour.
The man
identified as Kaduna Enatimi was paraded publicly to serve as lesson for
others.
Enatimi has
however confessed that hunger and economic hardship led him to steal the pot of
soup and the other food
items.
The Head of
the Igbogene Vigilance Committee, Chief MoneySweet Asomo noted that the man
claimed that hunger and economic hardship pushed him into stealing the items to
enable him to feed himself and his family.
It was also
learnt that after parading the suspect round the village, he was released and
asked to sin no more.
