A police
officer was killed in the Salt Lake City suburb of West Valley City early
Sunday and three suspects were in custody.
"It is
with deepest sorrow that we report we have had an officer killed this
morning," West Valley City police said in a Twitter update.
A ground
search of the area was underway, the update added.
No further
information was immediately available.
