Ugboroke Progressive Fish Farmers Association (UPFFA) is an umbrella body covering a cluster of fish farmers numbering well over 120 farmers. The group consists

of men, women arid youths involved in aquaculture business with interests in promoting improved market access for the poor and a peaceful enabling environment for equitable economic growth in the Niger Delta. The Association works in collaboration with other fish farmer groups in a cluster model.

The association seeks to hire dedicated and high performing individuals for the below position:

Job Description

• The Accountant will be responsible for the management of the SACE grant to Ugboroke Progressive Fish Farmers Association (UPFFA) in compliance with USAID regulations.
• S/he will help to ensure cost control and value for money with the use of project funds; prepare & review procurement and payment documents, ensuring completeness and accuracy; keep and update all financial records; develop and prepare monthly financial reports; prepare budgets and financial forecast and manage inventory.
• The Accountant will also provide general orientation and support staff and vendors on financial transactions; provide financial information to management to enable decision-making on Life of the project, budget matters and burn rate; prepare payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment of staff and contractors and accounting of leave balance and other benefits and Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts, ensuring accuracy.
