UEFA Champions League knockout phase: Arsenal to face Bayern Munich again

The fixture for the 2016–17 UEFA Champions League knockout phase has again drawn England side, Arsenal, against German giants, Bayern Munchen.

The knockout phase will begin on February 14 and end on June 3 2017, with the final to be held at Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.
This is the fifth season that the Gunners have been paired with the German perennial champions in the Champions League both in the group and knock out phases, with Bayern always having the better of Arsenal.
However, with Arsenal’s currently in form and Bayern seemingly vulnerable this season, the North London side have the best chance in years to break the German curse.
In the other fixtures, England champions, Leicester City, were paired with Sevilla, PSG will host Barcelona as Real Madrid prepares to take on Napoli.
The knockout phase involves the 16 teams which qualified as winners and runners-up of the eight groups in the group stage.
Each tie in the knockout phase, apart from the final, is played over two legs, with each team playing one leg at home. The team that scores more goals on aggregate over the two legs advance to the next round. If the aggregate score is level, the away goal rule is applied.
