Thirty-seven persons
have been reported injured in a train that derailed on Wednesday’s morning in
Brooklyn’s Atlantic Terminal.
New York police have
confirmed.
New York Police Fire
Department, however, said no one has any life threatening injuries.
Passengers on social
media described the train cars as striking the platform in the station.
New York’s
Metropolitan Transit Authority said Brooklyn Atlantic Terminal would experience
delays due to the derailment,’’

Long Island Rail Road train derailed as it came into Atlantic Terminal
It said a Long
Island Rail Road train derailed in Brooklyn during rush hour on Wednesday,
injuring dozens of people and disrupting morning commutes around the city, the
authorities said.
The Fire Department
said 106 people were injured.
Jim Long, a
spokesman for the department, said, “We don’t have anyone with any serious,
life-threatening injuries.”
Mr. Long said that
as the train came into Atlantic Terminal at 8:20 a.m. on Track 6, it “came off
the rail.”
