Arsenal
forward Alexis Sanchez has pleaded guilty to a catalan court over a €1 million
tax fraud.
The Chilean
admitted to two wrongdoing against the treasury, which happened during his time
at Barcelona between 2012 and 2013. The amount is reported to be a total of
€983, 444.
The hearing
lasted only a couple of minutes, with the forward admitting to his guilt via
video link.
Sanchez will
most likely pay a fine and not get a sentence, after reportedly returning the
money which he owes.
The issue was
first raised in November 2016, with the Gunners forward joining the likes of
Lionel Messi, Neymar and Javier Mascherano in being accused of tax evasion.
