26-year-old Muhammad
Usman, from Hadejia in Jigawa state who is currently serving as a corp member
in Kano state, recently released a campaign poster indicating his
intention to
run for the position of the chairman of his local government area, Hadejia.
The young man, who
had his primary and secondary school education in Hadejia, before proceeding to
Ecole Superieure Sainte Felicite in Benin Republic, where he got a degree in
Human Resources, is one of the youngest Nigerians to contest for elections.
This is coming in
the wake of the Not Too Young To Run Campaign; a campaign aimed at enabling
citizens as young as 25 years to run for elective positions in the country.
Good luck to him.
