Beyoncé Announces Twins Pregnancy

Beyoncé Knowles, arguably the only celebrity who has ever mattered, announced Wednesday on Instagram that she was pregnant with twins. Knowles and her husband Jay Z already have one
child together, Blue Ivy Carter. Blue Ivy is five years old and already more than you will ever be.

The announcement was made via an artful Instagram post featuring a visibly pregnant Knowles clad in lingerie and a long veil amidst an oversize wreath of flowers. The world may be burning, but the Carters still know how to nail a pregnancy announcement: Beyoncé announced her pregnancy with Blue Ivy by unbuttoning her sparkly jacket to reveal her belly after delivering a flawless performance of "Love on Top" at the 2011 VMAs. The performance/reveal led to a new Guinness World Record for most tweets per second.

"We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes," the singer wrote to her 92.3 million Instagram followers. The post was signed "The Carters," because they're the Carters and you're not.

The posting has already received more than 2.6 million likes, which is approximately equivalent to the entire populations of Maine and Hawaii, combined.

Meanwhile, Twitter users are having a certifiable freakout over what the news means for Coachella, and—more specifically—whether Queen Bey will still be headlining. TMZ reports that execs at AEG, the company behind the festival, were caught off guard by the announcement.
