Liverpool have
reportedly offered Honduran teenager Wesly Decas a week-long trial.
The Sun say
the 17-year-old left-back, who plays for Atletico Independiente,
impressed
scouts at a recent Under-20’s tournament.
Apparently the
Reds now plan to take a look and decide whether to make a bid.
It is likely a
compensation agreement would need to be reached with his current club back in
Honduras, as well as personal terms with the player himself.
The Reds’
current upcoming young left-back, Juanma, is held in high regard at the club’s
academy centre in Kirkby.
So Decas could
find his game-time limited and he must decide if he wants to compete with the
former Barcelona youth product for a place in the U23’s starting line-up.
