Female DG Anohu-amazu goes into hiding as DSS raids Pencom office in Abuja

Department of State Service (DSS) operatives raided the office of National Pension Commission (PenCom) in Abuja, following the refusal of the former DG, Mrs Chinelo
Anohu-Amazu, to hand over to her successor, after her sacking on Wednesday by President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to report, the ex-PenCom DG was still passing out instructions as of Friday despite her sacking. When DSS arrived the PenCom office today, she evaded arrest and went into hiding.

However, the DSS had ordered that she appear in the office on Monday.

Mrs. Anohu-Amazu and the commissioners of the agency were jointly disengaged.

The removal of the PenCom leadership was announced by office of the secretary to the government of the federation on Thursday, April 13.

The DSS operatives were said to have ordered staff of the commission out of the premises, frisked them on their way out to ensure that they did not leave with any official document.
