Ogun State Police command has smashed a six-man kidnapping gang who lured
a man, Femi Olatunji, from his home in Isheri area of Ogun State to Igbokoda,
Ondo State,
where they snuffed life out of him, after they had collected ransom.

The suspects were Fadeni Henry, Lebile Olatunji, Ehuwa Oririe, Olotu
Tosin, Oluwole Ohunayo, and Peter Omogbemi.
The leader
of the gang, 23-year-old Fadeni Henry, was said to struck a relationship with
the victim on the social media, and he lured him to their base in Igbokoda on
Friday 12th May,2017.
Parading the
suspects last Friday at the headquarters of Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad,
Abeokuta, the state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, said the wife of the
victim had reported the kidnap of her husband to the police on Friday 12th May,
2017.
He said
immediately, the command’s detectives, men of the Anti-kidnapping unit and
Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad were deployed.
Iliyasu said
it was later discovered that Henry and other members of his gang had lured the
victim, who was a surveyor, from his Isheri home to Igbokoda, on that fateful
Friday.
He said
based on this information received about the notorious kidnap gang, on Friday
19th May, 2017, operatives of the FSARS,
stormed their hideout at Igbokoda, and the hoodlums engaged them in a gun battle which lasted for
about two hours.
