At least 113
students of the Nasarawa State University have been dismissed over fake
results. The students were caught with the fake documents between 2014 and
2017, the
institution said.
The Vice
Chancellor of the university, Professor Mohammed Akaro, while answering
questions from journalists ahead of the fifth combined convocation ceremony of
the institution, said that about 76 first class students were among the
graduates.
According to
him, over 30,000 graduates are to be awarded degrees ranging from bachelors,
post graduate diplomas, masters, and doctorate degrees in the various
disciplines of study being offered by the institution.
Akaro said
that out the 45 academic programmes approved by theNUC, 44 have full
accreditation status while adding that efforts were on to get nine additional
programmes accredited.
