A report
surfaced about a 10-year-old boy, Fawaz, who was maltreated by his aunty, after
pressing a hot iron on his chest. The young boy was accused of stealing as his
aunty identified as Mama Arafa who lives in Naibawa area of Kano meted out the
brutal punishment on him.
Due to severe
punishment, the boy would sometimes sleep outside which puts him at risk.
The little boy
has been rescued by the police who have also taken his aunty into custody as
they plan to charge her with child abuse.
