A young man
identified as Favour Nwafor is currently cooling off in a police cell after he
was caught for stealing an ATM and phone belonging to a co-worker.
Nwafor who
hails from Ute-Ogbeje Community, Delta State, was paraded yesterday by members
of the Agbor Gha Ihun security group for stealing an ATM card and a phone
belonging to one Mr Marvellous Okoh.Nwafor, before he was caught, had withdrawn
N115,000 from a bank account belonging to Marvellous.
He confessed
that he stole the ATM card and phone while working at a building site in Agbor
with Marvellous. He was said to have joined in the search for the missing ATM
card and phone until he was nabbed. He was caught with the aid of CCTV Cameras
installed in the bank he went to make the withdrawal.
He disclosed
that he got the pin number of the ATM card in Marvellous's phone. The suspect
confessed that he stole from Marvellous because he needed money to travel to
South Africa.
