Casey
Affleck and his estranged wife, Summer Phoenix’s marriage is finally over.
According to
E! News, Summer Phoenix on Monday filed for divorce to end their 10
years of
marriage.
The couple,
who have two sons together, 13-year-old Indiana and 9-year-old Atticus,
announced in March 2016, that they have been living separately since November
2015.
Phoenix, the
youngest sibling of actors Joaquin and River, cited irreconcilable differences
and requested joint physical and legal custody of their sons, as well as
spousal support.
The actors
met in 1995 when Affleck co-starred with Phoenix in “To Die For.”
They began
dating in 2000, got engaged in 2003 and were married in 2006.
Affleck, who
won the 2017 Oscar for best actor for his role in “Manchester by the Sea,” was
sued by two women in 2010 who accused him of sexual harassment on the set of
the movie “I’m Still Here.”
He settled
both lawsuits out of court for undisclosed amounts and has continued to deny
the allegations against him.
