New reports have just confirmed the
tragic story of a Chinese national who allegedly hanged himself in his Ikeja
apartment in Lagos.
According to Eagle Online which first
shared the story, the 50-year-old man, identified only as Si Guical, reportedly
hung himself by the neck against a noose tied to an iron window inside his
apartment at 11, Itohan Avenue in Ikeja.
It is however unclear what led him to
do this, or if it was truly a case of suicide as perceived.
However, confirming the incident, the
Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Dolapo Badmus, said
that officers from the Man Centre Division visited the deceased home, and that
Guical’s corpse had been deposited in a morgue, awaiting autopsy.
This comes weeks after a Chinese couple
was arrested in Lagos for setting part of a hotel on fire in Ikeja, destroying
property valued at N17 million.
