English Premier League Season Preview: Who Will Win It This Time?

We are back! After the long summer break, the English Premier League is finally set to resume on Saturday, August 13th, 2016.

We are anticipating another season of highs and lows, with new managers and big signings around the big clubs.

Naijaloaded highlights a short preview of the big boys in the league and where they are likely to finish come May, 2017.

Arsenal: It seems Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger just, never, learns.

The gunners kick off their English Premier League campaign against Liverpool on Sunday, August 14th, yet their fans don’t even know who will start in defense and the captain of the team.

Arsene Wenger’s unwillingness to spend in the transfer window to strengthening his squad will likely affect his team’s chances for the title this season.

Predicted Position for Arsenal- 3rd

Chelsea: In Antonio Conte, Chelsea have a manager that is eager to learn and a winner.

His incredible works in Juventus speak volumes. He won three consecutive Serie A titles with the Italian side and famously implemented the 3-5-2 formation.

Conte is expected to bring Chelsea back to the top four in his first season.

Predicted Position for Chelsea- 5th

Manchester United: Manchester United are incredibly favorites to win the English Premier League this season after spending massively in the summer transfer market.

Jose Mourinho though is cautious, stating that he only advise his players to “Try To Win Every Game”

Yet we know Mourinho as a winner and we expect something incredible from the Portuguese this season.

Predicted Position for Manchester United- 1st (Champions)

Liverpool:

Only hours after beating Barcelona 4-0 in a friendly match, Liverpool were humbled by the same score-line against Mainz.

That has been the problem for Jurgen Klopp’s side especially last season- they tend to flatter but end up disappointing.

But Klopp is determined to change that in the coming season especially with the signing of Sadio Mane.

Predicted Position for Liverpool- 4th

Manchester City: Pep Guardiola has his reputation on the line when he decided to take on the Manchester City job.

City have also gotten very busy in the summer transfer and we expect them to challenge their Manchester rival for the title.

Predicted Position for Manchester City- 2nd

Bonus:

Leicester City- 6th

Tottenham- 7th
