Cristiano
Ronaldo has said he would offer himself a 10-year contract at Real Madrid if he
was club president.
The statement
was a clear indication to Florentino Perez that Ronaldo wants to end his career
at the club.
The 31-year-old
returned for Real in their 5-2 win over Osasuna on Saturday, scoring the first
after six minutes with a simple back-post tap-in.
Ronaldo
admitted he cannot imagine anything other than ending his playing career with
Real, with the forward eager to add to his trophy haul.
“You would
have to talk with the president. Things are going well,” Ronaldo told
reporters
after the match.
“The media
have written it already, you know more than me. If I were the Madrid president,
I would give me 10 more years.
“I want to win
all possible trophies and would love to win La Liga. It is a title that we will
be going after and the team are looking good and solid.
“We’ve started
well and I hope we can continue to do well. It is a long competition, but I am
convinced we will win this year.”
“There were a
few moments where I felt nervous but that is normal after an injury. I am happy
because we won and I scored,” Ronaldo added.
