Chelsea have entered the race for Liverpool target
Niklas Sule, according to the Hoffenheim defender's agent.
The Reds,
along with Wolfsburg, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, AC Milan, Napoli and
Roma, have been linked with a swoop for the highly-rated centre-half.
Sule's
representative, Karl-Heinz Forster, told Bild: "Yes, the interest was
there. And the English have made it clear that their interest next year is
still valid.”
The
21-year-old Germany international is reportedly happy to earn more first-team
football with Hoffenheim before making the next step of his career.
Christian
Pulisic is a
transfer target for Liverpool -
but has admitted he grew up aManchester
United fan.
Dortmund
midfielder Pulisic was the subject of a bid from the Reds last month,writes
the Liverpool Echo's James Pearce.
But the man
Jurgen Klopp is keen on grew up idolising Wayne Rooney, rather than any of
Anfield's heroes.
“I was a big
Manchester United fan when I was younger so I loved to watch Wayne Rooney,” he
told ESPN.
“I wouldn’t
say I’m a similar player, though. I think his passion for the game is something
you don’t see much in players. That’s what I loved about him.”
Liverpool boss Jurgen
Klopp will continue his Mahmoud Dahoud charm
offensive, by sending scouts to check up on the midfielder in Germany Under-21s
clash with Finland on Tuesday night.
The Borussia Monchengladbach starlet, 20, was one of the German's chief
transfer targets during the summer, writes
Mirror Football's Alex Richards.
But the Reds were unable to prise the Syrian-born youngster from the
Borussia Park, little more than 12 months after his first-team breakthrough.
The Bundesliga side stood their ground during the summer, with sporting
director Max Eberl having declared the player not for sale following the
departure of Granit
Xhaka to Arsenal.
But that hasn't deterred Klopp, who is willing to bide his time to land
his No.1 midfield target.
