It's not just scoring goals and owning horses he's good at - the former Real Madrid man's pretty good in the saddle himself
We all know how much Michael Owen loves his horses (his stables
accommodates a whopping 90 horses), but what we didn't know is just how good he
is at racing them.
At the British Racing School in Newmarket, the former England star, now
36, is receiving his very first riding lesson under the watchful eye of racing
legend, Ryan Moore.
Other than a few complaints of thigh soreness, Owen seems to be settling
in just fine.
Time to put his newly learned skills to the test? Absolutely.
Using virtual reality technology, Owen races the six furlong Wokingham at Royal
Ascot - and remarkably wins.
Ascot hosts the QIPCO
British Champions Day, the finale of the flat horse racing season,
on October 15.
